UPSET FORGING

Hori­zon­tal upset for­ging is a pro­ce­du­re which allows to upset only a seg­ment of a round or squa­re bar. Usual­ly only the part to be res­haped is hea­ted for this purpose. 

The cavi­ty in slee­ves can also be rea­li­zed cost-effec­tively by this process.

MATERIALS

  • Unal­loy­ed and alloy­ed struc­tu­ral steels
  • Stain­less high-gra­de steel

BATCH SIZES

  • Bat­ches up to approx. 5’000 pieces

  • Length: up to 3’000 mm
  • Dia­me­ter: up to Ø 95mm
